Austin Babies

2 Questions - 1 is possibly TMI

1. At this stage in the game, what do you think is better - walking at a not so fast pace for a longer time/ distance or walking pretty fast for a shorter period?

2. If you've already had a baby, did you notice more mucus as the time got closer?  I know the MP can come out for awhile before labor but I'm just wondering if you noticed any change as it got closer or if once it started it stayed pretty much the same.

Thanks.

  • 1.  For exercise or to walk the baby out?  I it's the latter, I'd say go for longer, not faster.

    2.  Yep, I def. noticed more mucous towards the end, but I never had "bloody show" with either of the boys. I'd say I had the most this time around the weekend before he was born.

Thanks. Yeah, I meant to get the baby going. I don't care much about exercise these days. :)

    Congrats again to you!

  • I'd say longer for sure.  Also, if you have one of those big exercise balls, sit and bounce on that while you watch TV.  I think that also helped get labor started for me.

I can't remember re: the mucus.  I definitely had bloody show the day of, though, which was gross.

    2.  Yea, I did notice a tad bit more but nothing very significant.

  • Are you still working? That's quite a bit of walking in itself! I had lots more mucus the days leading up to delivery, which is why when my water broke in the middle of the night, I was debating whether it was mucus or an accident (until i stood up). So exciting that you're about to meet your little girl!
