I am having my csection on Thursday and had a question about the waters.  With my first, my waters broke at home and I failed to progress and got a csec.  But if they have to break my water - is it done before the csec or as it is happening?

From my experience, the break it during the csec, I was already on the table and didn't have feeling when it happened.

They broke my water while performing the c/s

Mine had already broken, which is one of the reasons for the c/s, but they break it during the c/s if not.  They don't do it vaginally.

We talked labor at my prenatal class and the midwife said they break the sac and vacuum out the water on the table.

They will break your waters during your Csection.  You are on the table, they make the skin incision, uterine incision and then pop that bag of waters.  You don't even know they've done it.
