Sili Squeeze Reusable pouch: Review

This came up last week and a lot of people were interested, including me, so I ordered these, and here is my review:

Overall it is a great product! Not too expensive, easy to use and dishwasher safe. I would get the larger size ? the small one doesn?t last long with my LO!

PROS

  1. You save money (we estimate it would pay for itself in a month!)
  2. You know what is in it, and you can put anything LO likes in there
  3. Well made ? it seems really sturdy
  4. dishwasher safe
  5. spill proof
  6. The opening at the top is big enough to get ice-cube sized frozen purees in so you can store your foods easily.
  7. new colors are coming out soon
  8. a new fast flow (not spill proof!) nipple is also coming out soon

CONS

  1. Not as portable as the store pouches (you have to refrigerate / freeze)
  2. NOT microwave safe
  3. LO couldn?t get all of the puree out, so you waste a little
  4. the nipple is stiff ? there might be a learning curve for LO, but it also might get a little easier to use as it breaks in
  5. Only comes in red so far ? and when filled it looks like a ketchup bottle LOL!

Re: Sili Squeeze Reusable pouch: Review

  • Thanks for posting the review.  I may seriously consider getting this if LO continues to refuse any form of veggie other than the pouch.

  • There was a learning curve for M when we first gave it to him a month or two ago(didn't realize he had to bite the tip), but we love it for out about about. When we go to the grocery store, we always have one in my purse. It keeps him busy:)  I love putting yogurt in it, and other purees/applesauce(bought or made).  If new colors come out, I may need to invest in a bigger one as well:)

  • New colors are out!  And the second generation of Sili Squeezes for older children (ages 4+) is also now available (The Sili Squeeze with Eeeze).

  • If you're looking for something more akin to GoGurts, there is a new product, called SqueeZurts, made by a SAHM that mimics the packaging of GoGurts, but allows you to control what goes in it and to reuse it over and over again.  You can put in yogurt, applesauce, fruit or veggie purees, juice, smoothies, etc.  Freeze them or refrigerate them.  My kids LOVE them, from baby on up!

  • We bought these too!  I made a ton of purees for DS from Tit's website https://sewthethingis.blogspot.com/2012/03/kitchen-adventures-homemade-baby-food.html and he LOVES it.  After making the purple puree, we figured out that we were saving something like almost 70 cents per pouch of organic baby food squeezies.  Amazing.
