Through no real choice of my own, our baby boy will be named Nicholas Joseph. It's based on a tradition in DH's family which says the first boy's first name is Nicholas (so that's my DH's name) and the middle name is my father's first name.
I don't really love the name, and I really don't love having more than one family member have the same name.
So, I'm trying to come up with any nicknames or other names to call my son. My DH already goes by Nick...
Any ideas?
Re: Talk to me about nicknames for Nicholas
Funny, I have my baby name book open to that page.
Nicknames: Nick, Cole, Nico, Niels, Nikos, Colin, Klaus. I like Cole.

I love your post x2--for the ideas and the Badgers shout out.
If you don't love the name, I'd say it's time for a new tradition. But that's me.
I suppose aside from Nick, my favorite suggestion would be Cole.

I like Nico and Cole.
Another thought, though, is it an option to go by his middle name? I happen to think Joey is a super cute name!
I like Nico.
Also, I think it's really sad that you don't get a choice in naming a child you're carrying for 9 months. JMO.
Word.
My favorite nicknames for Nicholas are Nico and Cole.
