Good afternoon ladies. First, I just wanted to say thank you all for your thoughts and support last week when I found I had lost my cat Murphy. I really appreciate it. I was sorry to read your stories of your pet losses as well but it helps me to know that it gets better. I have spent the last several days grieving him and though I am sure I will be very sad for a while, I think (and hope) the worst has passed. I spent a lot of time on Saturday hunting down pictures and putting them together and I think it really helped. I even found 2 short videos of him so that was a real bonus. My favorite picture is in my signature. Thank you again.
On to my cycle update...I started my Lupron, low dose HCG and Follistim injections on Friday and had bloodwork and u/s this morning. Today they counted 5 follicles below 10, and though I didn't catch the measurements of all of them, when I was looking at the screen I did notice that 3 of them are just below 10 mm. Still waiting to hear back from the nurse with further instructions.
Last friday when I went in for my u/s they said there were 11 follicles that they could see, but i guess they aren't all growing, which I am not surprised...11 would be wishful thinking!
The plan for this cycle is to stimulate me as if I am doing an IVF but plan to do an IUI. If I have enough follicles they will convert me to IVF. Fingers crossed that all of those follies grow so I can finally make it to ER.
One little bummer is that DH and i were planning to go away this weekend because I have a very rare and precious long weekend. It dawned on me this morning that that is probably not going to be happening because of monitoring, but we'll see. It's a 2 hour drive so we could do it for shorter than we had planned but it kind of defeats the purpose of a long weekend. We'll see, of course we need to do what ever is necessary to make this happen!
Re: Cycle update and thank you.
Hi,
Hope you are hanging in there as well as you can. Hugs as always. Hopefully you can either go for monitoring on Friday or Sat and still get away. It helps a lot to get away.
I do have to make a comment about your long weekend-- it must be because the Jets are not playing in the Superbowl! Go Pats!! LOL (I couldn't resist..)

What a sweet pic of you and Murphy. Glad that that you were able to spend some down time looking for pics. Don't know if you might be interested in making a photo book of your Murphy pics, but website www.pictage.com is really easy to use. We made our parents photo albums after our wedding using this site, and albums came our really nice.
Good luck with your cycle, hoping that you get to be converted to an IVF. How many follies do you need to do IVF instead of IUI at your clinic? Hoping that you can find some time aware with DH this weekend.
