Getting really depressed about finding another job - NTR

In November, I applied for a PR position. I went through 3 rounds of interviews, felt really good about it and waited for a response, only to hear today that they'll be hiring someone else. I'm getting really discouraged. This was one of the first jobs that sounded good in years. I currently work for a newspaper, and we're just a depressed industry at the moment. I really wanted to be in a new job before this second baby. At this point, I just feel so defeated.

I'm in your boat. No magic pick me ups here, but you're not alone. It's brutal out there right now.

I went through two interviews and was in the top three for a job I wanted sooo bad only to not get it. Now, it's hard to pick back up and get myself out there again.

I completely understand. I've been laid off for a few months, and have been looking like crazy. The amount of hoops I've had to jump through is insane. I've had to take tests, write action plans and research reports just to even be considered for interviews. I've had 2 different positions where I went through a series of interviews and didn't get the job. I'm currently in the middle of another insane process, where I'm going for my FIFTH interview today. It's maddening and completely defeating. Hopefully we both find something soon!
