My daughter is almost 16 months, and her clothing size vary greatly.
If she is in shorts or t-shirts, she can wear 6-9 months, as she has a very small waist. But, in terms of pants and long-sleeved shirts, she needs 18-24 months for the length.
He's almost 22 months and in 18-24 month shirts. Pants..he still wears 18 months with a belt. The ON/Gap 12-18 are perfect in the waist but too short on him.
DS is 20 months and alot of his 18 month clothing is too big. He still wears lots of his 6-9 and 9-12 onesies. He's tall, but super skinny. BARELY on the charts.
G is 19 months and is LONG. She only weighs 21.8 ish lbs but, she's very tall. So she's in 3t - 4t pants, but we have to alter everything to fit her around the middle. Her shirts are the same way because she's long through the waist. My mom fixes her shirts so that the collar isn't so big and she hems up the sleeves on them.

DS wears some 12 month things (mostly shirts) and some 24m. Mostly he's in 18-24m, but they are starting to get short on him since he's really tall. He's in a size 5 shoe.
DS will be 2 next week. He is just now starting to grow out of some of his 18-24 month clothes. I need to start buying him 2T clothes but I'm hoping I can hold out until the spring.

DS is 3 and in 5T shirts and 4T pants.
DD is 13 months and in 18 month clothes.
My DS will be 2 in a couple weeks. He is in 12-18 bottoms and 18-24 tops. I don't foresee him moving into 18-24 pants for a quite some time.
But this doesn't surprise me. My kids seem to have short legs - my DD was in a 2T pant until she was almost 3.5.
