Going back to work and supply question

I'm going back to work a week from tomorrow and I will only be able to pump once in the 8 hours I am there. What is this going to do to my supply? Any suggestions?

It's going to be rough on your supply and I expect you'll need to supplement pretty quickly. Is the one pump over your lunch or could you pump then too? Even if you just get like five minutes in it would help.  Otherwise I'd say get in a little early and pump before, then the one chance you get, and immediately after work before heading home, assuming you have a reasonably long commute.

Yeah, I will get an hour lunch/ break. 30 min lunch and 30 min to pump. I plan to pump before leaving for work in the morning/on my way and then either just before leaving work or on the way home too.

I don't know what line of work you are in, but if you only get the 1hr maybe you could ask to split that to 2- 30min breaks and eat while pumping during one and pump the other?  I also pump while driving into work and get my biggest pump of the day then even though I finished nursing DD2 30min prior.

Just thought about one more thing- if your emplyer has over 50 employees  and is in the US they are required by federal law to provide you with time & space to pump until LO is a year old. If that applies to your job call HR and they should work it out for you.
