So my LO is 3 months now and we still are doing so-so. Looks like she is getting lazy and won't open her mouth wide. She prefers to suck in my nipple which is not pleasant. My nipples are burning by the time she goes to bed. Any tricks to help? TIA!

Re: Not getting easier..
I feel like DD forgot how to latch around 3 months too. I squish my nipple between my thumb and pointer finger to make sure I got a goodly amount in her mouth when we ate. If she had a crappy latch we'd try again. After about 2 weeks she figured it out. I just chalked it up to teething pain or having different control over her mouth/tongue.

Definitely take the time to re-latch her if she doesn't have a good latch the first time. It's pretty early for teeth, but she could be getting some, my son's latch got bad when he got his first ones. It helped to gently pull on his chin when he would latch on. hth
