Hi all - I'm getting ready to prep my diapers, and I am hoping you can help me figure out what washer settings I need to use. I know I'm supposed to wash on hot, but my washer only has the following presets: warm wash/warm rinse and then hot wash and cold rinse.
Which one would you do? The same for both natural and synthetic fibers? FYI I have a mix of BG 4.0 and then covers, fitteds and prefolds from Jillian's newborn tria..
Re: Prepping question - washer settings
for prepping: hot wash/cold rinse.
once you are washing the used dipes you will run a cold rinse (this may be a separate setting), then you will go back in to add your soap and run the hot wash/cold rinse. if your washer doesn't have an option for an extra cold rinse, then you will go back in a third time to set a separate cold rinse/spin cycle.
Yep, what she said. I have the same settings and I do a cold/cold cycle with no soap, hot wash/cold rinse with soap, another cold/cold cycle no soap. I think you can skip the first cold rinse if its just to prep (for your BG inserts and dipes).
