Help with presents for DS

DS will be 6 months old at Christmas.  I have no idea what to get him.  We have a huge family and I swear DD has every 0-12 month toy.  DS has all of her toys to play with.  What do you do for your younger kids?  Do you say the new older age toys are for them too?  Do you not get them very many presents?  I feel bad for DS but he won't know better and we don't need anything.  Any creative ideas?  The only thing I can think of is one of those bubble sets with the huge wands for outside.

I used to buy him toys that were aimed more for older babies developmentally and put them away in his closet for when he was a little older.  Oh, and I buy books...can never have too many.
