I'm trying to decide on a bouncer. Right now, I'm trying to choose between the Bright Starts Comfort & Harmony Bouncer or the Fisher Price Monkeyin' Around Bouncer. Has anyone used either of these and what was your experience like?If not one of these two, do you have a must-have bouncer you'd recommend?
Re: MUST-HAVE BOUNCER RECOS - Bright Starts, Fisher Price or others?
We didn't have either of those, we had this one: https://www.amazon.com/Bright-Starts-Bouncing-Buddies-Cradling/dp/B001134IL2/ref=sr_1_18?s=baby-products&ie=UTF8&qid=1327867940&sr=1-18
It looks similar to the FP one you mentioned but is by Bright Starts. We liked it, DS liked it. Plan to use it for #2 as well
We had the cheapest FP one from Target, and my son loved it -- the cheaper ones seem to have more bounce and vibrations in them and it would put my son right to sleep, perfect for naps.
I think this "Fun Park" one is probably most similar to what we had, just a different fabric: https://www.target.com/p/Fisher-Price-Baby-Bouncer-Fun-Park/-/A-13475229
We also had a more expensive one from BRU, similar to this one: https://www.target.com/p/Fisher-Price-Little-Lamb-Infant-Seat/-/A-11037180 -- that my son liked okay, but it didn't seem to have the magic "lull to sleep" properties that our other one had.
We used ours quite regularly and never replaced the batteries.
I had the Bright Starts bouncer and hated it after the first month. It was great to put the baby in when he was itty bitty and would sleep all the time, but once he became more alert, he hated it. There is nothing stimulating for him on it. I HIGHLY recommend getting on that bounces and has stuff for baby to look at it. Go with the FP one! We have the FP Rainforest bouncer now and love it!
