Hi TTGP Ladies!
I'm so excited to tell you all that I had my first BFP test Friday morning! Please don't treat this as a drive-by, but I haven't been as active on this board in a while and have mostly been lurking lately.
Testing: This may sound weird, but the night before I tested, I had a dream that I had a positive pregnancy test. In past months, I have waited for AF to arrive, but by CD30, I decided to use my last HPT. Last month, I could've sworn I was PG, but AF arrived 30 minutes after getting a BFN. It was amazing how fast that line appeared and I just stood there staring at it for ten minutes in shock.
What we did differently: This was our 4th month TTC, but as 3 year FF charter while TTA, I decided to spend a few months taking a break from charting to see what would happen. I had already decided to go back to charting next month if things didn't work out. Two cups of green tea a day seemed to increase my CM. We only had sex once during during the FW and surprisingly this month, I didn't notice the usual cramping around O.
Symptoms: Most of my symptoms could've been chalked up as upcoming AF (acne, sore boobs, and grouchy). I spent most of last week running to the bathroom thinking AF had started because I kept having waves of cramping and the urge to pee.
How I told DH: DH was already at work when I tested, so it was the hardest thing to keep the good news to myself all day. When DH got home, we had plans with friends so I didn't have time to tell him but I think he knew something was up when I turned down a glass of wine. Finally, we had some time alone late last night and I decided to tell him and whip out the HPT. He was a little dazed at first, but after a few minutes, he had a goofy smile on his face.
I want to thank all of you on this board for offering great advice and being a source of support when I was confused, frustrated, or just needed a good laugh. I wish you all the best. I'm going to cautiously head over to Oct 2012 and 1st Tri boards and hope to see many of you there soon! I suppose I should starting working on my fisting skills while I'm at it - JK !!!
