steri strips

Does anyone know how long after a c-section you should leave the steri strips on? It's only been a week and a day, but I didn't know if it's something I should remove myself or let them come off in their own time. TIA!

I was advised to leave them alone for 2 weeks, but if they came off before then on their own it was ok. At 2 weeks she said I could peal them off and recommended doing it in the shower so it didn't hurt and wouldn't require quite as much pulling. By 2 weeks I had 3 or 4 fall off but then just pealed the rest off in the shower one day.

Thanks ladies! They are getting itchy and aggravating me, so I thought I'd ask. They still seem to be pretty securely fastened, so I'll leave them alone for a bit.

I was told to let them come off on their own. They all came off in the shower before my 2 week follow-up appointment.

I think I had an allergic reaction to mine, I was MAJORLY itchy (which I thought was the incision or the hair), and someone on here said it might be the steri strips, so I took mine off at about a week and a few days. Itching went away completely. Thank god I did!

Yikes, I thought I was told only one week, so I took them off. I hope I heard her right now that I read this!
