It is the name of my late godfather, and DH loves it...(Plus DS is OBSESSED with Curious George...so he may like it, too )

I saw a little boy at the park that was super dorky, whiny, snot running down his face, etc. and his name was George...sort of killed it for me.

WDYT? Is it cute/classic, or nerdy?

I love George, it is in our top 3.  I think it is a Classic, and Georgie is darling for a little boy. 

It is a family name for me, back to the 1600s.  The only problem is DS1 loves Curious George so much that he wants his name to be George, so there might be some jealousy issues. hahaha!

It's traditional, but it's a name you rarely hear these days.

Sure it may be associated with old men in some people's minds, but once they meet your son they won't think about any old associations they have with his name.

There are adorable brothers on my street named George and Walter... I swoon everytime I see them. Their mom is pregnant with a little girl and I can't wait to hear the name (as opposed to the other pregnant lady on my street with a Kaden and Brooklyn).

I love it for an adult professional but it's not a kid friendly name to me.  I don't like any of the nn.

DS1 is George. It's a family name and I wasn't sure when DH first suggested it, but I love it! We call him Georgie or G... I like that it's cute on him now but will be a strong man's name as well.

Oh it's totally nerdy! A lot of the classics are though, it's NMS but it's much better than the wild names that pop up from time to time. (P.S. I was totally using nerdy in a positive way)
