DH and I are having some trouble agreeing on a boy's name, but recently we both started warming up on the name Tyler. It's a name we both liked years ago, but had kind of forgotten about since.
I usually like names that are a little more unusual, but I don't think Tyler is too popular or overused. My one real concern would be whether or not the name ages well. I can picture Tyler as a kid and a young adult, but beyond that, I'm not sure.
DH's mn is Allen, and this has actually been the mn of first born sons in his family for the past four generations. I think it would be nice to carry on the tradition. ALso, our last name is close to Goes (it's pronounced like ghost without the t). So we'd be looking at:
Tyler Allen Goes
THoughts?
Re: Tyler Allen
I like it. DH's 18 yr old cousin is named Tyler and he goes by Ty. He's a great young person and I think that name will grow well with him (and your son).
Tyler Allen sounds good too!
