Trying to Get Pregnant

The BEST part about the arrival of AF...

Trying to remain positive, here.  So, obsviously getting AF means no BFP, which is shitty.  BUT, it can mean "yes" to some other things, so for you, what is the BEST thing about getting your period?

For me - Alcohol.  (As I read that, it sounds a bit alcoholic-ish, but whatever.)

  • Trust me that doesn't sound alcoholic-ish. For me the best thing is, I have more time to get healthier before I actually do get my BFP.

    I'm right with you! Wine is usually what I look forward to... or if cramps are particularly bad: rum, no ice

    Me-31/DH-32, TTC since Aug 2011, HSG/Blood work all normal 3 SAs - results all over the place. DX Unexplained

    Same here. The tighter my abs are pre-pregnancy, the easier they will be to get back that way. Plus, I've heard a strong core makes pushing more effective/easier during labor. That seems logical. And I'm working on running longer distances, because I want to keep running as long as I can while I'm pregnant. Pregnant runners are so adorable!

    HSG, BW, Ultrasound, SA, Genetic testing, Karyotype - all normal
    DX - Unexplained IF
    3/13-9/13 - 2 Clomid IUIs & 3 Injectable IUIs - All BFN
    Cycle 25 - IVF w/ antagonist protocol - ER 11/18 (11R, 9F) - ET 11/23 (1 "good" early blast) - none left to freeze - BFN
    Cycle 26 - IVF w/ antagonist protocol  - ER 1/17 (12R, 11M, 8 F) - ET 1/22 (2 "good" expanded blasts) 
    2 frosties - Beta 2/4 - BFP! 2104, 2/7 -  4780, ultrasound 2/12 - holy shiz, there are 2!

  • I'm hoping to get my period soon because I've been patiently waiting for it for the past week while having AF symptoms. Also so I can stop peeing on sticks.
  • Thanks for the inspiration, healthy ladies!  I've been telling myself I need to do more as far as exercise goes, but I think if I look at it as "I've got another month to get myself in better shape," I may actually follow through. 

    I'm a big believer in maintaining your level of activity during pregnancy, and not crazily increasing it while you're prego, so if I jump on the exercise bandwagon now, I'll be able to continue when I get that bfp.

  • I'm glad to be able to have some wine too.  :)   That and a big caffeinated mocha for my early mornings. 
  • I agree! Wine & a lil time to get healthier! I'd like to at least lose 5 more lbs before we conceive!
  • Mine personally is chocolate and fuzzy pajamas. I like to be a lazy cow when AF is in town.
