Parenting after 35

FFFC

My son wore his pj top to daycare.  We went to Wal-Mart last night and they had knit Elmo pj's.  Michael is obsessed with Elmo.  And since it was warm last night, he wore them to bed.  I got the pants off to change the diaper but when I tried to get the shirt, he lost his mind.  So instead of fighting, we wore Elmo to daycare.

Re: FFFC

  • I just found a candy under my desk that I dropped yesterday.  I still ate it...starburst unwrapped if it matters...

  • S/O food on the floor, I dropped two chocolate chips (from the handful I was gobbling, of course) on our kitchen floor the other day. I picked both up and based on where they fell I ate one and tossed the other Ick! Just another proud sugar-fiending moment here!
  • Meh. We've had weeks where Big M wears the same clothes until they can walk on their own because he throws a fit if we try to put him in anything else.
  • I posted (read vague booked) on Facebook this morning about how people should be grateful for what they have instead of complaining about  stuff.  People have run with it....and are posting things like, "I needed this reminder today" and "you rock"...

However, I was actually only talking to one person who is constantly complaining about 'having' to take care of her kids all day.  I would love to stay home with my kid and only posted that update because I'm insanely jealous of her being a SAHM.

     I'm a total hypocrite.

  • My first thought was "I'm Elmo and I know it...." Hope he was cozy all day.

But was it inside out or on backwards?
    (Flashback to yesterday!)

Neither inside out or backwards.  We could not have seen Elmo's face otherwise.

  • I swear I went to a book fair in pj's. The pj's were not even cool and the place was crowded.  I was 23 then. So I can totally understand M:)
