My DH took me to the ER tonight after I began having sharp excruciating pain on my right upper abdomen and back. The Dr ran blood tests, which came back normal. He said that he is concerned that I may have gallstones. I was discharged and am to go back to the hospital in the morning for an ultrasound to check my gallbladder (they couldn't do it tonight since I had already eaten dinner).
Does anyone here have any experience with gallstones? If so, what did the pain feel like and how long did you go between the diagnosis and surgery?

Re: Gallstones?
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!!!
Mine didn't end up being gall stones, but the ER docs thought I had it. It was a sharp pain in my upper stomach area that wrapped around the sides and up the middle of my back. Very sharp, I-can't-breathe kind of pains. It ended up being a horrific panic attack (which makes me sound so wussy, but oh well).
A coworker of mine had the same pains, but she was sweating a lot and running a fever. She had surgery very soon after her latest attack (they had gotten progressively worse).
I hope you feel better soon!!

Thanks MM! Panic attacks are not wussy, they are horrible.
Luckily it is not gallstones. Instead it looks like the endometriosis on my diaphragm has caused inflammation and all the pain.
Thank you Jessa & Melissa for the comments as well! I appreciate your input.
