I was wondering if any of you use Proactiv and if so are you continuing to use it during your pregnancy. I have heard mixed feeling about this from friends and decided to call my dr. She said that there is no definite research one way or the other and that it was up to me. So...I was wondering what you all are doing or what you though. Obviously I know there is no right or wrong just curious as to what others' opinions were. Thanks!

I was under the impression that the face wash contained salicylic acid.
I don't see it on the list for the cleanser:

I have used (and will continue to use) Proactiv. My doc said it was fine, and the ingredients listed in the product are not in harmful quantity. Their website also states this, in so many words - but does ask you to consult with your health care provider as well. I personally only use it once a day... so that's what I would recommend if you're concerned about it; just cut it down to once a day instead of twice/day.
I had been using SkinID, which is a similar product. I discontinued it because my midwife advised against benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
I replaced it with the Tea Tree Oil face wash from The Body Shop and my skin is holding up okay. Not amazing, but okay.
Did you midwife recommend or OK this? It's what I use and I've found conflicting info via Dr. Google about whether or not it's OK. I stopped using it, but would love to use it again!

Yep! She said it was A-OK to use.
