Neuro update and an off-schedule nap question

Thanks for all of the dust earlier :D

They didn't pick anything up on the EEG and she didn't display any of the worrying behaviors during our visit..  The doc basically said the same thing that our pedi did, that the video I brought shows some concerning behavior but without more data they just want to wait and see. She's been having fewer episodes for the past couple weeks so hopefully it was just a weird behavioral thing that she's gotten over.

Of course I'm over the moon that they didn't find anything scary, but at the same time I really wish they could tell me what's going on.

She usually takes a nap from 12:30-4 or so, but just finally went down at 4:45.  I have no doubt she'd sleep through until bedtime if I let her, but then we'd be super screwed tonight. How late do you think I should let her sleep?  Bedtime's normally 8:30.  She usually strictly enforces her own nap schedule, so I haven't had deal with off schedule naps in ages.

  • If it were me, I'd probably wake her up in an hour or so (5:45) and then put her to bed a little early.

I'm really glad they didn't find anything concerning! That's great news! Hopefully it really is nothing and it's just a behavior phase.

  • So good that they didn't find anything concerning!

I probably would have had her skip the nap and just put her to bed super early, but since she's already asleep, I'd just let her get like a 45 min cat nap and then to bed early.

  • just open her door at around 45 mins and make a lot of noise so she wakes up :)
  • too late to comment on the nap thing, but i'm glad they didn't flip out and tell you something terrible. I hope the episodes continue to decrease and go away quickly!

  • Phew, though I understand your desire to know exactly what the deal is. Here's to it just disappearing entirely!
