We have several carriers (Moby wrap, Sleepy wrap, Maya ring sling and a babyhawk). DH is a stay at home Dad now and DD who is 3.5 months old will not be in any of the carriers for DH. She is happy in all of them if I am wearing her (though I don't use the sleepy wrap anymore).
Whenever he tries to wear her she screams until he takes her out. Any ideas why? Is there a better carrier for men?
He needs help because right now he has no hands to do anything other than hold DD.
Re: Help Carrier and DH
I wouldn't think it would be a problem with any of the carriers you have. Has he ever worn her before? Maybe she just needs to get used to being worn by him. Does she still allow you to wear her without getting upset? Is there a difference between home or out and about? My DS never tolerated being worn at home for more than 20 or 30 minutes, but could be worn for hours if we were out somewhere. As she is getting older and more aware of her surroundings, do you think it could be that she just wants to see more? If her head control is good, he could try doing a high back carry with the Babyhawk. Maybe a different view is what she wants?
Just some ideas. I hope he can find something that works!
