At 4.5 mos, DD was 25.5" long (close to 90th percentile) and 13 lbs (25-50th percentile). She is long and lean - it seems like huggies nor pampers fit well. She is having problems with blowouts. Pampers are already an inch below her belly button. Is it time to move up a size? (she is currently in Size 2 based on weight, I think a Size 3 would swallow her).
Re: Best diapers for a long and skinny baby?
My baby has the same proportionality and I never have problems in her cloth diapers. I wish I had a disposable option to offer as a suggestion but I've never found anything that works like her BumGenius and TotsBots do.

This. DS was 26" and about 13lbs at his 4 month, and we just switched him to size 2. We still have occasional blowouts, but the Target diapers are the best I've tried so far. Plus they have cute polka dots on them instead of Sesame Street characters or whatever they put on brand name diapers.
