On my home computer I have a "Pin It" tool installed on my toolbar and I can simply drag that icon to the picture and it will pin the picture. When people click on my pin it will direct them back to the original source, which would be your brother's blog.
But I do not remember HOW I got that handy thing on my toolbar, so I'm no help there!
If you grab the url of the page the recipe is on, got to pinterest and click "add". It will ask you if you want to add a pin, a board or something else, I can't remember. Just add "pin" and then paste the url. It should scroll through whatever pictures are on that page.
Just click on the one you want, add a description and save.
