Re: PPA and Working

  • Look, I am not being mean but everyone on every board tells you the same thing on every post:

    1. See a doctor and get on medication for PPD/PPA
    2. Get a job so you can take care of yourself and your beautiful daughter.
    3. Get on BC/ Stop having sex.

  • I haven't gone through this exactly, but I am very anxious about going back to work.  I am a substitute teacher, and I can go back whenever I wish.  I was asked to cover a maternity leave in April, and even though it is ideal for me because the school is 2 miles away, I am not sure I can make myself do it.

A part of me thinks it would be good for me to get back into the swing of things, not to mention getting to participate in adult conversation again!  But the other part of me is so anxious about adding more to my plate.  I still haven't figured out how to juggle two kids, housework, and grad classes.  How the heck can I go teach 4th graders everyday too?

I don't have any answers for you, just trying to let you know you are not alone in your anxiety.
