Nervous for mall outing. ktan or stroller!?

Im going to the mall today with my LO and 2 friends who each have a 2 year old. I just got a K'tan this week and love it! But I havent worn it for over an hour at the house, and not out yet...... So I cant decide if I'm going to lug our stroller or use the k'tan.

Any advice?

I tend to take the stroller to the mall.  Then I have a place to put diaper bag, shopping bags, etc.  For me, the stroller tends to be easier in indoor settings that are nice and open  whereas I wear baby when we go outdoor places or more cramped places (like when we took DD1 to a farm or library).  That's just me though

I would wear the baby! I use my wrap everywhere..... I started with a moby and now use a cotton I made.... Does your baby like it though?

I also prefer the stroller so that I can have my hands free of shopping bags, purse and mini-diaper bag.  I would also consider this: if you are going to be trying clothes on, it might be better to have LO in the stroller or else you'll have to keep jostling him/her, whereas a stroller, he/she will stay put.

I've used both while out shopping and tend to think that the stroller will be easier if you're with friends who also have LOs. 

When I baby wear it makes diaper changing and having to use the facilities myself much more difficult, so I tend to baby wear with my husband or mother, who can definitely help me with LO should I need to take her out of the k'tan.

The stroller allows more flexibility for you, as PPs mentioned, your hands are free and there's a spot to put your diaper bag and shopping bags. The biggest downside of a stroller is maneuvering it through narrow aisles in stores.

Also, yesterday I went out to lunch and brought LO in a stroller, but had the k'tan handy in case she was unhappy in the stroller... and sure enough, I ended up putting the stroller in the car and wearing her, so it's always an option to have the k'tan for a back up.

Stroller definitely - I had the same question myself a few weeks ago when we went to the auto show, and we ended up using the stroller. DD slept the entire time and I was free to look at cars, could use the bathroom, there was somewhere for the diaper bag, and DH could push her too.

Good point about trying clothes on! I didn't even think that.... I like someone suggestion on bringing both..... Either way, have fun!

Take the stroller, but keep the ktan handy. That way if LO decides the stroller is a no go, you can baby wear and push the stroller. Carrying and pushing doesn't work well.

I would bring the stroller. I always bring it on mall trips. It makes a great shopping cart and rack.

I always take the stroller. The mall by my house has a lovely family bathroom with nursing rooms. I love it!

Strollers are awesome at the mall because you have a place to put everything. DD always just sleeps right through our mall trips LOL.

I use the k'tan because I hate waiting for the elevator and it's always full of other moms and strollers and then I have to wait even longer. 

And wearing her means I can't carry a whole lot and I question my purchases and buy less.

i bring both in case my son gets cranky and needs to be held. then i put him back in the stroller if he falls asleep.
