Two Under 2

Room situation

Thinking of putting both children in the same room for a few years, even though we have a DD and LO was guessed to be a DS at 15 weeks.  DD will be one in July and LO will be born in July.  We'll keep LO in our room for the first 3 months and then we're thinking of putting him in a room with DD from the start.  Has anyone done this?  Thoughts?

Mine will share a room (a DD and a DS).

We won't move the newborn in there until he is nearly STTN b/c I don't want to disturb DD too much, but they will share a room for at least a few years b/c our 3rd bedroom is on a different floor.

Everything I have heard so far says it will be fine.  We'll see!

THIS. We don't know what we are having yet, but they'll be sharing a room as soon as LO STTN.

  • We have a two-bedroom townhouse.  DD2 will be moved into DD1's room, once DD2 is STTN consistently.  I am not worried about it at all.  Although, hopefully we will be able to move to a larger house in a couple years.

  • My sister and I are 13 months apart and my mom put us together from the begining. She said my sister would wake up when I cried, but learned to just go back to sleep and eventually sleep though it. She said I was a bad baby and that is why the transition to 3 was hard, but I think everyone was just was severly sleep deprived. Confused

I'm waiting until the baby starts STTN and then they will share a room until the oldest goes to college.

This exact situation.  I'd like to move before DD2 is born, but logistically I don't think that will happen for a few years.
