IUI #1 confusion

OK. so I am at cd1.

I am going in for u/s tomorrow. If all clear then I have letrazole for four days, bravelle for four days, then another u/s and b/w.

this is the first i have heard of bravelle. it looks like it is a shot. how do i know how to give myself a shot?

all the nurse said was something about mixing and she would call it into the pharmacy.

i feel like the term "health care provider" is a stretch, more like "medicine dispensary and fee collector" ugh...

Surely they will teach you how to give the injection tomorrow at your appointment.  It's really not that bad, I promise.

I'm sure they will teach you. If not let me know and my RE has a link to 'how-to' videos on their website.

They will teach you how to mix the powder in.  I have done Bravelle for two cycles and it isn't bad at all.  Burns a little while the meds are going in but after that, you don't feel anything.

i don't have an appt. in their office until cd10 u/s.

they are sending me to an off-site location for the u/s tomorrow.

You usually have an injections class.  I've already done 3 inject cycles but my new RE is still making me go to their class.  I feel like I could teach it at this point it's so easy.

This. I didn't pay attention at my IUI class when they covered injects because at that point I was only on oral meds. Fortunately for me, I found lots of how to videos on YouTube. It was really easy, don't sweat it.

I was taken aback when the nurse calmly told me to do my trigger.  I asked for a refresher (as I had my injects training almost a year ago and never followed through).  She told me don't worry, pinch the fat of your stomach and inject.  Hella scary so I made my DH do it.  After my crying fit for 30 minutes, he said it was easy.

When you're at the office, ask a nurse if no one tells you. I stopped by the nurse's lounge one morning to ask how to do the trigger.

Linc so happy you're starting this cycle! I have my FX for you that nothing stands in your way! I only did the trigger so no mixing or anything, so unfortunately i don't have much advice. but good luck - i did look at a youtube video for my trigger just to make sure i did it right. keep me posted ok??
