Physical Therapy Recs?

At DD's two month appointment today, our pediatrician noticed some mild torticollis and recommended physical therapy for DD to try to prevent the issue from getting worse.  The pediatrician gave us four recommendations for physical therapy practices, and I thought I'd check here to see if any of you have opinions on these or if anyone has other recommendations that aren't too far from me.  (I'd like to stick to Alexandria, Falls Church, or Arlington, if possible.). Here are the recs I got today:

--Jane Kaplan Hall/Good Beginnings (Falls Church)

--Progressive Pediatric PT (Falls Church)

 --Physiotherapy Associates (McLean)

--Bodies in Motion (Falls Church)

Re: Physical Therapy Recs?

  • My DS had tort too and we did PT at Good Beginnings.  LOVE love them.  Honestly, can't say enough good things!  Our PT was Amy O'Malley.  My son thrived and you'd never know for a second that he had tort and placiocephaly (he also had to wear a doc band).  It is great that your ped noticed this early - if you start PT at two months she should be just fine and hopefully won't have much head flattening, if at all.

  • We saw Kate at great beginnings for mild torticollis with ds. I can't recommend her enough. She was sweet, incredibly knowledgable and I looked forward to every appointment. We would spend our time talking about all aspects of child development and I learned so much about motor development that just wasn't in the baby books.
  • Thank you to both of you!  I had a good feeling from the Good Beginnings web site, and you've helped me feel sure about going to them.
