Hi. I have lurked here for a bit and felt it was time to say hello. I have tried to type out my babies story but haven't been able to submit it yet. Almost as if I don't post our story and don't get out of bed -it didn't happen.
I lost my twins (first pregnancy) after I delivered at 23 weeks 3 days. My son passed 2 days after and my daughter 6 days after. It was a traumatic delivery that no one expected followed by a short NICU stay.
I still can't believe it happened and just want to wake up from this nightmare. It has just been horrible. My husband and I have been so excited for our babies and they were just taken from us so quickly. Before my pregnancy I lurked on the TTC/IVF boards, then the pregnancy boards, then the multiples board and finally the high risk boards.
I can't begin to say how comforting just reading you guys posts has been. I didn't feel that I fit in at the miscarriage boards and others seemed too preachy (no offense meant - I just don't find that comforting). I am approaching 4 weeks post-partum and can't believe how fast it has gone. Waiting for my pregnancy milestones seemed to crawl by.
So I just wanted to say hi and thank you for helping me through this.

Thank you for the warm welcome. My babies names are William and Summer. Both came into this world fighting and we couldn't be more proud of them. We love them so much. I would give anything to hold them again. They were just too small with too much stacked against them. I didn't realize how powerful a parents love was until they were born.
I look forward to being a part of this board - I looked at several forums/boards before joining this one. You guys are so supportive of each other without being judgmental. I'm sorry that we are all here and I wish nothing but good things for all of us.
