Poll: Overstimulation with IVF

My SIL's IVF was cancelled this cycle because she was overstimulated.  So they put her on BCP and she'll do Lupron shots at some point.  So she's curious...when did you start feeling normal again?  How long did it take for the bloat to go back down?  Or did it?  :-)

    I was overstimulated and developed OHSS during my first cycle.  I had to coast for a day or so and we lost a lot of eggs.  After the retrieval i wasn't allowed to transfer anything.  I remember not being able to walk straight about 4-5 days after the retrieval.  The first few days afterwards i felt so bloated and my stomach felt like it was expanding and it was actually quite painful.  SO total, a good week for the bad bloat.

    During my next cycle, however, we triggered with lupron instead.  It was kind of a new protocol at the time (2 years ago now).  IT WAS SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!  No bloat or OHSS.  Totally recommend that for anyone who had OHSS.
