DS is almost 13 months old, and I'm down to 3 nursing/pump sessions a day: Nurse when he wakes up around 6am; pump once at work around Noon/1pm; nurse him before bed at 7pm. He doesn't have a nighttime feeding anymore unless he's sick or teething or something else unusual is going on.
Soo.....we've been doing this routine for a month (before that it was pumping 2x during the workday plus the morning/night nursing) and I have had no sign of my period.
I'm certainly not complaining, mind you! I just thought that if you weren't nursing regularly every 4-6 hours it was supposed to come back. I'm regularly going 12 hours at night, and nothing. Just curious, since EVERY other breastfeeding mom I know (and I know a lot!) had their period back way before this.
Is there a point at which I should be concerned? If you had a similar schedule, when did yours return?

Re: When did you get your period back?
Are you on the minipill?
No sign of mine, but we're still nursing ridiculously frequently and I'm on continuous mini-pill. I suspect the pill will suppress it until I stop.

Nope, no minipill and no other BC (besides condoms) in use!
One month after she was born! And I'm on the mini pill now...tho it was late this month so maybe that's kicking in now. I pump 6-8 times a day and still get AF.
This exactly! I was hoping to have another one on the way by now...no luck and no AF...I'm reducing pumping/breastfeeding to only 4 times a day and next week i'm going to drop to 3 times...hopefully that will set it off...I have plenty in the freezer to get by for at least a month and a half if not longer...
