At the beginning of January, we bought DS his new bed. He was thrilled with it (it's Cars) and although we still had to "help him" fall asleep (i.e. lay down with him), he was sleeping ok, from 8pm, waking up around 3am, 5am, and then going back to sleep.
A week later, I also weaned. He kept waking up only once at night, but then cut 1 tooth and a molar all in a week and he was waking up more often.
When he would wake up at night, DH would go lay down with him, sometimes give him a bottle, but would often end up falling alseep in his bed with him for 1-2 hours.
Now, when DS wakes up, we go him, get him to fall back asleep, but 5 mins after we leave the room, he wakes up again and comes into our room (across the hall). The past 2 nights, he's been back in our bed from 3am to 7am... but I don't want to go back to bed-sharing.
How can we convince DS to sleep in his own room, in his own bed, without us?!
I realize these are a lot of changes in a short period of time, which is why I'm looking for the smoothest way to have these changes go, but without it causing DS too much grief!
