Let me apologize in advance, as I have only ever posted on the Preemie board a couple of times in the past and I do not want to seem as though I am barging in here. I spend the majority of my time on May 2012 (where I originally posted this), but considering the topic at hand I thought it would be appropriate to share, as I'm sure everyone here understands, so here goes.....
Most of you are probably unaware, but DS#1 was born prematurely because I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. Since that time, raising awareness for prematurity and supporting the March of Dimes has become a cause very dear to my heart.
I am posting the below link to my awareness page on the March of Dimes - March for Babies website. I am not sharing this to raise money for my team, so please do not donate. My sole intention here is to raise awareness for the cause and hopefully encourage others across the US to read my story and begin a team of their own to help raise awareness in their own communities.
Babies cannot speak for themselves so we are responsible for being their advocates. Whether you have had a preemie, know someone who has, or just feel touched by the cause, please consider starting a team in your community and have a voice where there otherwise would be none.
Re: XP - Raising Awareness for Prematurity
It definitely is a great cause! Good luck with your fund raising this year!

Oh wow!! I had no idea, thanks for the info!!
My MARRIED Bio
It's funny that you say that! I actually live in Upstate NY, so when I first looked at the website I was diappointed to find that there were no walks in my area. But, then I saw there was a Boston walk and got excited because I am out that way often visiting my sister (she has lived out there for almost 12 years now). I figured that DH and I could just make this one of our weekend trips...except for one problem. I'm due on May 15th, and expecially considering my history, I think that planning to be so far away from home so close to my due date is probably not going to be a good idea. But hey, there's always next year!
