Currently, I do not have access to my car as there was a shooting at my work (thank you police department for conducting a narcotics operation in the employee parking lot at work.) As it stands, I also do not know when I will get it back, since it is currently barricaded as part of a crime scene. Police department said I may get it back in the morning but I'm having husband call them at like 3am to find out if I should take his car to work or if he should drop me off.
I feel so selfish being more worried if there are holes in my car than over the fact that an officer was shot (he's ok, shot in the leg), 2 people wounded, and 1 person dead (suspect).
I also feel sorry for my insurance claims department hearing from a hysterical woman who has control issues. (I had to know what my insurance covered. Worse case: $1000 deductible; if car is impounded as evidence, rental car; must call claims adjustor as soon as I know something; oh, get police report.) Likewise, my poor employees: at least I have my hormones to blame.
