I am due in July and this will be my first time attempting to wear my baby. With DD I co-slept and breast fed but never tried to wear her. I tended to carry her in my arms whenever we went somewhere. Since I will need my hands free to care for her (she is 2) I am thinking that wearing the new baby makes the most sense.
I have begun to look at all different wraps and I am a little overwhelmed. I like the Moby the best but I am wondering how long I will be able to use it before getting something else. Also, what is the best carrier for a slightly larger baby?
Sorry for all the questions. I am just trying to figure all this out in my head before the baby gets here.
Re: First time attempting to wear baby
Typically, the moby is good up to around 15 lb.
I like my ring sling the most at the moment. It's easy to use over my winter coat to get baby too and from the car, but it's also easy to readjust to use inside.
I also like my Ergo, and my mei tai. Pretty much... I just like carriers. You'll love it, trust me.

Cloth Diaper Review Sheet
Baby wearing and cloth diapering are so hard to figure out at first, I definitely know what you mean!
I prefer the Sleepy Wrap over the Moby (looks like they changed the name to boba wrap - https://store.bobafamily.com/baby-wrap/ ) - the material is stretchy, so you can put it tight on your body, and stretch it around the baby. I used it until my kids were about 15 pounds. My younger son was 10lbs 10oz at birth, and I used it with him for the first month or so, until switching to the Beco.
My main carrier is a Beco Butterfly (https://www.becobabycarrier.com/cat-1/butterfly-2). It can be used with newborns, also, and goes up to about 40 lbs. My DH and I are both taller, and we like how it fits our torsos more than the Ergo does.

I suggest the GypsyMama Bali Breeze gauze wrap for summer babies or a thin woven if your looking to go the wrap route.
