DD is doing the strangest thing. Last night I posted asking for advice because she had gone an alarming amount of time without eating (refusing). Today I have gotten her to do regular feedings (every 2-3 hours) but the drama we have to fo through to get there is nuts. The first feeding of the day was fine. No drama. Since then they have all gone like this... She starts to get hungry (showing early hunger cues), I offer the breast, she refuses and gets quite upset about it. I get her calmed down, offer again, more refusal and more upset. After all her fussing and screaming she'll eventually fall asleep in my arms as I try to calm her. Once she's asleep I put her on the breast and she eats. She's 2 1/2 months old and this has been the first issue we've had. I currently have a cold but other than that nothing has changed. I'm not taking any meds for it and haven't noticed a supply decrease. She is not sick and has been sleeping as usual both at night and durring the day. Yesterday I tried different holds, different rooms, with the boppy aand without (thinking maybe she wasn't happy with something) and nothing made any difference. Today I have tried to keep things as we normally do them and that hasn't helped either. She has never taken a bottle so I know she is not refusing in hopes of getting one. What do you think? I have no idea what is going on and I have no idea what to do.
