Arms' reach mini-cosleeper.

How long did your baby fit in the mini arms' reach co-sleeper? DS is 3 months today. He is pretty little (30% for height and weight). When I initially put him down he seems to have plenty of room (although his arms can  touch the sides). However, he is getting super squirmy at night and I woke up to him sleeping diagonal. He doesn't bury his face in the side but still pushes the top of his head against the side. This shouldn't be a SIDS risk right?

So I am just wondering how long you kept your baby in the mini-cosleeper? I am debating on buying the regular sized one (I don't really want to side-car the crib, but don't want to move him out of our room or do a floor bed). Does it sound like he needs more space?
