medication question

I am 20 weeks pregnant and got the flu really bad on Friday. I knew Tylenol was safe to take during pregnancy but I didnt realize how many types of tylenol there are. I took Tylenol cold and flu because I could  not find just regular Tylenol. Then I come to find out that this could be dangerous because it contains 5 mg of Phenylephrine. I am going to contact my doctor when she opens but anyone know if this could cause major problems? I have been worried all night about it. I took the medication for two days. Thanks for the help.

My Dr said any of the Tylenol cold and flu stuff was ok IF you had to take something. I'm sure you'll be fine but good to follow up just in case

 I found out yesterday that I had the flu- My obgyn prescribed Tamiflu and I feel better after just 2 doses. After reading your post, I went back and read the ingredients in the Cold medicine I purchased. It has Phenylephrine too so I guess I won't be taking it. I asked m doctor and she said to stick with one ingredient meds instead of going for the "multi-symptom" ones. Try Mucinex - it should help. The info I read stated that phenylephrine is more harmful if taken at 13 weeks or less. I think at 20 weeks pregnant and only 2 days of taking it- you'll be fine. Hope you feel better soon!
