I'm sleep training my LO at the moment - last night was night #3. The first two nights he fell asleep around 9:30pm, woke around 2am to feed and then slept until 8am. Last night he slept from 9:30pm until 7am. I woke around 4:30am engorged so I went to pump a little as I am prone to clogged ducts.
So should I continue to pump at least once at night if LO doesn't wake up and gradually move the pump time later until my milk adjusts and I don't need to get up? Or should I just start sleeping longer now? The last thing I want is to wake up with a clogged duct because I didn't pump/nurse enough.
Re: Sleeping longer
I don't pump during the night because I want my body to adjust to DS's schedule. It was hard everytime he dropped a feeding but I just tried to go back to sleep.
He's not STTN yet but I imagine when he does I'll be chomping at the bit to feed him right when he wakes up!
I think you will adjust without pumping! Just my opinion. But please do share how u are sleep training!?!?
