My LO has always on occasion had a bit of green poop here and there, but not usually. Lately it has been constant - sometimes a bit mucusy, but often the normal seedy poop, just green. He does have a cold and I've read that this can cause green poop. But, I also eat LOTS of dairy so I'm a bit concerned it's my diet. However, he is 5 months old so if it were a dairy allergy would it show up so late?
I guess I'm just looking for opinions from other people's experience - if this seems more like a side effect of the cold or if I should try cutting down on my excessive dairy intake.
Re: another EBF poop question
How is he doing otherwise? Is his weight gain good? Is he generally a content baby?
I really don't think poop color is that important if there are no other signs of a problem.

My LO is just getting over a cold too and in the thick of it he had some green poops. I'm guessing from the gross nasal drainage he was probably swallowing a lot of snot. Now that his nasal congestion is cleared up it's back to yellow.
If he's otherwise ok I'd wait and see if it clears up when he gets over his cold.
There aren't other problems - which is why I'm leaning towards thinking this is just a side effect of the cold.
I can certainly tell he's swallowing a lot of snot - he has a mucusy cough and of course doesn't know to spit it out, so just keeps swallowing it down (sorry for that gross description!).
This. My LO has had some green poop lately. I called his pedi's office and the nurse said that as long as there's no fever, his weight gain is good, and he's generally a content baby, there's no need to worry.
This. Someone on here also mentioned that when they eat green leafy veggies the baby's poop tends to be greener and I realized that was going on with me too. When I'm eating my spinach, lettuce, kale, chard the poop is greener than when I'm having squash, tomatoes, corn, etc.
