Lanisnoh pump with drop in bottles?

Hi! I plan on bf LO so I bought the Lansinoh double electric pump but I plan on using the Playtex drop in bottles. Does anyone know if the two will work together? I don't want to open the pump until I need it, just in case I can't bf. Thanks for the help. : )

Re: Lanisnoh pump with drop in bottles?

  • Yes. the playtex bottles have a starter kit that has bottle attachment that work.  As far as your pump goes if you have not opened it I would take it straight back to the store.  I bought the same pump and it died on me in 3 weeks.  The pump was replaced under warranty and that one died too.  This pump is not made for an EP. (Just a heads up) I ended up with a Medela.

  • I used the Lansinoh pump to pump at work 3x a day for 15 months and it worked great. It was less bulky than the other types so easier to carry to work and fewer parts to clean. Closed system so can be used by others so no worries that way. I'd highly recommend it.

Instead of using the starter kit the PP mentioned, I pumped right into the regular storage bottles. Then I'd pour the milk into the drop-ins to take to daycare or into freezer bags if I was going to freeze it. That system worked fine for me. I didn't try the drop-in starter system.

  • The only thing with the Lansinoh pump is that spare parts aren't available in stores, only online. So it would be a good idea to order some in advance in case you need them sometime.
