Question about pumping

in January 2012 Moms
My lo is going to be 1 month old tomorrow and I wanted to start storing breast milk. My question is: when is the best time to pump? Before I feed lo or after? He eats any where from 1 - 3 hours during the day. TIA :)

    I always pumped after my 1st two morning feedings so like a 6 am and a 9 am.  You will get more milk in the morning because your body produces more.  I always fed after to insure she got the right formilk/hindmilk ratio.  Good luck pumping is  PITA and I am soooo not looking forward to it!

    This. I always did an extra pumping session before I went to bed but they say there is more milk in the am. I just never had time or motivation to do it then
