Circumcision Ring?

My baby was circumcised 6 days ago and had the ring.  It is supposed to "fall off" between 5 to 8 days.  It looks like its falling off but hanging my a thread.  It looks super uncomfortable.  Any one have this or suggestions.

LO HAD THIS AND IT WOULDNT COME OFF. OUR DOC WAS SENDING US TO A SPECIALIST BUT SUGGESTED PERT. JELLY. WE USED IT AND THE NEXT DAY IT CAME OFF ON IT OWN. IT HAD BEEN HUNG ON ONE SIDE THAT WOULDNT COME OFF. DONT PULL IT. DH WORKS IN THE ER AND HAD SOMEONE BRING THE NEWBORN BECUAUSE THEIRS GOT HUNG ON THE DIAPER AND RIPPED THE SKIN CAUSING IT TO BLEED REAL BAD. TRY THE JELLY AND WE USED NEOSPORIN.

LO's circumcision was done with a clamp. Our pedi's office does not use the plastibell. I just wanted to second using the petroleum jelly. It healed LO's area in less than a week.

it took almost two weeks for my sons to fall off. his hung on from one section too but it came off the next day in his diaper. dont pull it. i didnt put anything on it but ask your pedi.

My little boy was circumcised 14 days ago!!  And his little ring is still firmly attached.. I'm going to call the pediatrician as soon as they open this morning.  I did call them at the 8 day mark and they said sometimes it takes up to 14 days.  But at this point I am getting worried!  I have been putting Neosporin on it at every single diaper change, but I may try petroleum jelly the next time I change him.  I agree with the PP that I wouldn't pull on it- I just wish there was something that could be done- I am so ready for this to fall off and his cord so he can have a real bath and so diaper changes don't involve 2 extra steps that just seem  to make him mad

My LO's had to be cut off by the pedi @ 8 days because it was stuck on one side.  All is good now.  good luck!
