Confused about Robeez

Can full on walkers wear Robeez? I ordered these shoes to go with a dress I want DD to wear and I figured since they go up to size 6 they were for walkers. But I got them in the mail today and the instructions said they are stage 1 - prewalkers. I thought all Robeez were soft soled but that they could be worn inside and out by walkers. When I was shopping I saw many labeled "pre-walkers" so I didn't get them; these don't say prewalkers. Should I return these?

Re: Confused about Robeez

  • DD runs in her Robeez. You're fine - the soles don't slide.

  • Some Robeez have real soles on them...  the ones that you linked to look like the kind with the soft soles and those are more for pre-walkers.

  • Blueridge9,

But what stage are they? I didn't know they had 3 stages.

So would it be uncomfortable or bad for her to wear them indoors? (church)

  • Neither, they'll actually probably just feel more like bare feet to her which is actually a good thing for a new(er) walker.  You might just not get a lot of use out of them other than for the outfit b/c she can't really wear them outside unless it is dry but that's okay.  They're cute and I'm sure will look nice with the outfit!

  • It's not bad for her feet, and in fact, is really a positive thing for new walkers (feels more like bare feet so helps learn to walk and stabilize more easily.)

Especially wearing indoors, I say go for it!

Ok thanks! I guess I will use them if I can't find cute white shoes with soles.

  • If they are just to wear inside, they are completely fine. If you are planning on having her run on pavement or through puddles and snow, get some with hard soles.

No, we have hide and squeak shoes that she loves. Those have soles. I am just having the hardest time finding cute white shoes for church!

This.  I actually wish they made them in bigger sizes... I loved them for "house shoes" for my little guy.

  • For Christmas I got Dylan (20 mo - been walking for 10 mo), soft soled pink boots from Target.  I loved them last year and resisted buying them.  I bought them and she LOVES them!  I hate when my hands are full that I cannot put her down for her to walk outside (like today the ice was melting & it was all wet), but she wants to wear them as much as I want her to, so it is win-win!
  • It will just be like she's wearing cute little slippers more than shoes. If you really want hard sole shoes and can hold out a little longer, you can typically find more choices once it gets closer to Easter :)

Oh good point, thanks. I found one other pair online but they're 35 bucks!! That is expensive when she won't wear them for very long! I'm cheap, I know.

  • We have the mini-star (Target brand) shoes which are pretty much the same as Robeez. Ella still wears her quite often, they are great for inside. We even let her play outside in them some if we are on a playground our in the grass when it's dry. They are actually better for their feet/knee development than hard sole shoes. And super cute.

She'll be fine, it will be like wearing socks.

There is this chart on their website, don't know if it would help.

    https://www.robeez.com/EN-US/ProductInfo.htm?PriceCat=2&Lang=EN-US

    Thanks!

Edit: I looked at the chart. It says soft soles are for kids up to age 4. ?!??!

So what is the difference between the prewalker soft soles and the other soft soles?
