That I have no problem injecting myself full of meds or get my blood taken. However, I freak out over a needle for the dentist. I thought I was immune to needles.Huh?

    I do my own PIO...and i make my dentist gas me.  Teeth are NOT my thing

    I take Ativan before dental appts.  Yet I have 8 tattoos.  Needles are fine but the drill, OMG I hyperventilate!

    Having a needle stuck in your jaw sucks!!  I don't care how many needles i have everywhere else!!

    I had 2 small cavities filled today. I couldn't look at the needle until she was done. It is scarier. Old school metal. Unlike the disposables we get for treatments. But I found out they are 27 and 31 gauge, so very small.

    I'm with you...  Dentists' needles are scarier.  They have that big metal handle, the novocaine needle is more of a pinch than just a poke, and it is injected into skin near bone.  Yuck...  I am getting shivers just thinking about it!

    I'll take a needle in the butt or the stomach any day over those nasty novocaine needles...OUCH! They probably wouldn't be so bad if the dentist would just inject it and remove it but they inject it, move it all over, then remove it. Ughhh.

    YES! The drill...oh man. That is the worst. I had to bring my ipod while he was doing his work.
