1 week PP & Pubic Bone Pain!!!!

My little boy was born 1/14, so about a week and half ago. Vaginal delivery with no complications, at some point I promise I'll write up and post his birth story :)

The past day or two I've had horrible pain in a place I'd never imagine. It feels like my pubic bone is bruised, in the front, right below my bikini line.

Anyone else experience this PP? Any tips on how to relieve it? Ugh it's driving me insane!!!

TIA!

Re: 1 week PP & Pubic Bone Pain!!!!

  • The bones in my butt were sore for about a week after delivery. My dr. said it was from his position during labor & from laying in the bed all day during labor. Have you tried ice?

  • Yup, its excruciating. I asked my Ob and she said its just things shifting back into place. Your body is still loaded with relaxin so the joints are still pretty mobile. I had it before he was born and it was just bad when I was lying down, but yeah now it just acts up wherever... I feel like someone kicked me in the crotch w/ a steel toe boot! Regular ibuprofen has been helping.

Yes! That makes sense that things are still shifting. I thought we'd be over that by now though :)

I was taking ibprofen regularly until a couple days ago.. maybe I never noticed it if the ibprofen was enough to take the edge off. I'll start being diligent about it again.
