Seven slings?

Good, bad and ugly... what do you think?

Re: Seven slings?

  • Gave mine to Goodwill. I hated it!

  • I liked mine but wish I had gotten it when dd was younger. I would have used it more the first few months then now.

  • Didn't like mine, saving it for DD to use as a sling for her dolls when she gets bigger.

  • I don't have any experience with this brand, but I really like pouch slings in general. They fold up small, so I keep one in my diaper bag for quick trips in the store or if I forgot a different carrier. For me the biggest challenge was getting the right size.
  • Compared to everything else out there, I hate mine!  I never used it out with Micah because it hurt my shoulder/back.  I'd much rather find a used ring sling and be more comfortable.
  • Horrible quality.  It wasn't with the shipping cost of my free sling.
  • It's a pouch, which works for some people.  But 1) the material made by that particular manufacturer is flimsy and 2) a ring sling is adjustable.

So you might want to consider a ring sling or a better-quality pouch manufacturer.

  • It worked okay once my baby was old enough for a hip carry and I could flip the shoulder.

I quit using it as soon as I got a ring sling, though. I wouldn't buy it again if I could go back in time.

  • Hey Hope! Fancy seeing you here, I didn't know you posted here. Then again I haven't been over here much lately. Anyways, you can have my Seven Sling if you want. I much prefer my ring slings, I do have a Slinglings pouch that I use to use and liked but I can't accommodate Julia's brace in it like I can with a ring sling.
  • Thanks guys! I really want something new... I have a babyhawk but it hurts my shoulders, somehow no matter how tight I get her in there it squeezes in on my neck/inside shoulders.. does that make any sense?

I also have a Bjorn which I loved when she was smaller as well as a Moby, both of which she is too big for. I really want an Ergo but my H will ring my neck if I spend that much on another carrier.
