s/o Pooping and water birth!

So our birthing center has those fabulous huge birthing tubs (the special kind with removable drains they sterilize between births - yes!). I fully plan to avail myself of this if the mood strikes. So one of the items we have to bring with us is a "fish net."

I asked about this. The mw said not a ginormous boat-the-marlin fishing net but a scoop like you'd use in a fish tank at home - for "floaters." It took me a second to figure out what would be floating! Haw! I have to stop DH from telling everyone we know this story while I'm standing right there.

    LOL!I know! i am planning on doing a waterbirth and i was real serious when i realized i would poop in the water. I told my DH about it and he was like "yeah thats the first thing i thought about when you said waterbirth!" WHY didn't he mention this to me??? didn't think about it til a few weeks ago. and here's the thing, what if they are sinkers???
    Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months. Lilypie First Birthday tickers

    I am planning a water birth and my midwife hasn't said anything about this and I haven't thought about pooping in the tub.  I will have to ask at my next appointment.

    I was just thinking about this the other day.  I was thinking about a water birth, but now I just don't know.

    ok, gross tmi follow up question.

    What if it's like diarreah and not solid?  I plan on laboring in the tub, but they won't let me actually give birth there.
