Hey Ladies!

So I dont know if I'm a head or wayyy behind. I am 12wks pregnant and I am still having trouble getting medical insurance to go through so needless to say I still haven't been in to see a doctor. From what I'm heard there isn't a lot that they do the first trimester anyways other than jsut testing. Basicall whatever happens, happens at this point. Anyways... on to why I'm posting.

I have been reading about Mercy Gilbert Hospital and it seems like a great place to deliver. Does anyone know of any great doctors in the Queen Creek/Gilbert area that I can start seeing that deliver there? Also, what all is included when you deliver there? Food, etc? I have no idea as this is my first and I haven't really been close to anyone that has had a baby in the recent years.

    I would recommend Valley Women for Women. I have been going there since I found out I was pregnant and I will continue to go there for my yearly check ups. I see the midwives (any of the three they are ALL great!). They deliver at Mercy Gilbert or Chandler Regional. I know all of the doctors and would recommend any of them as well!

    I recently delivered my first baby at Mercy Gilbert. The experience was wonderful. Nurses were very helpful and knowledgable, always offering tips as they knew I am a first time mommy! The hospital offers free tours of the L&D and post partum units.

    I also recommend Valley Women for Women. They have two locations in Gilbert and one in Queen Creek. I've been going there for about 5 years. They will be delivering my son at Mercy Gilbert any day and they delivered both my nieces and most of my friend's babies. When you deliver pretty much everything is included such as food, diapers, blankets and formula for the baby if you need it. Have you looked into AHCCS for insurance? You can apply with the Department of Economic Security. I've never heard of them not covering a pregnant woman.

    Hey thanks! I have had my first appt and u/s at Vwfw in queen creek. Now its just figuring out everything else. I have no idea what i'm suppose to be doing to be preparing. lol. Stinks cuz i have no family here nor have been close to anyone that has had a baby in recent years. kinda makes me wish this board were more active. lol. oh well.
